Recently I was in line at a major store when I realized that the person standing in line behind me was standing entirely too close. I find it irritating and in some cases it even makes me angry when people seem to have so little or no regard for a person's personal space. Like when you are having a conversation with someone and they are standing so close that you have to take a step back, or, and this is my top personal peeve about space invasions, when I go to the men's room at the movie theater and there are at least ten or more
urinals that are lined in a row and this is important,there is know one else in there at the time, and some guy walks in, and even though he has his choice of any urinal he comes to the urinal right next to me, this is the one that makes me want to turn to that invading person and asked "what in the blank is wrong with you"? Did your mother not hug you enough? What the....okay okay let me come back.
My youngest son was so traumatized when I took
him into the men's room at "Wrigley Field"
that he said he is never going back. You can see in picture below that it is setup so that you had to stand and urinate shoulder to shoulder with the stranger next you and hope that they can aim and most importantly that they did not splash.
Wrigley Field may get a restoration, but the old men's trough urinals will stay.
So I decided to go on the internet to see if I am the only one who is disturbed by people invading your personal space. I found that I am not the only one who feels this way. I found that there were plenty of postings just like this almost word for word;
I put the shopping cart behind me to keep invaders away from me, if I don't do that, they are breathing down my neck while I'm trying to pay for the groceries.
